Abstract

Traditional target tracking methods address the target tracking problem by measuring information, such as time difference of arrival (TDOA), direction of arrival (DOA), and frequency difference of arrival (FDOA). In this paper, the direct target tracking (DTT?algorithm for the target which moves at constant speed and in a straight line is proposed. Compared with conventional algorithms, this method does not need measure information, directly estimating the target's moving state from the received signals. Also, the cost function is simplified. Although this new cost function reduces the estimation accuracy, it has a positive impact on computational load.
