Abstract

Detection of driving fatigue is studied based on electroencephalogram (EEG). Driving simulator experiments were made on the fatigue driving experiment platform, and subjective fatigue evaluations were made based on experimental video and fatigue self-evaluation. EEG data were recorded by an EEG recording instrument, driving fatigue was analysed by comparing the relation of EEG characters and subjective fatigue evaluations. The (α + θ)/β power spectrum of EEG corresponds with subjective fatigue evaluation. Driving fatigue rating can be estimated by the (α + θ)/β power spectrum of EEG.
