N2 - To use as a feed source of a terahertz (THz) system, several designs of corrugated horn antenna are introduced in this paper. Through etching, splashing gold and Au-Au bonding, silicon wafers are transformed in the proposed antennas. The proposed antennas are fabricated to possess four different apertures: circular, rectangular, diagonal or octagonal, respectively. Every radiation pattern exhibits symmetric beam with low sidelobes at 495 GHz. Moreover, the antennas show good coupling efficiency to Gaussian beam of more than 86% at 495 GHz. This designs of horn present feasible alternatives for THz application.
