Abstract

According to the demand for IR target camouflage assessment during the design of IR target, a simulation software based on detection probability was developed. The software used the FLIR92 model which was relatively mature at present to evaluate the thermal imaging system performance, computed the equivalent temperature differential of 3-dimensional IR target model which was generated by IR target design, and then it simulated and computed the imaging system static performance with different system parameters, mainly based on 2nd-focal plane image system static model. At last, on the basis of detection probability, the software estimated the range of detection, direction, recognition and identification of this IR target. It assessed the capability of camouflage of IR target with different system parameters from the perspective of target detection.
