Abstract

An Orthomode Transducer (OMT) working at 340 GHz band is proposed in this paper. The OMT consists of the polarization separator, T-junction power divider and waveguide 90° bends. Output ports of the OMT are WR-2.8 rectangular waveguide port while the input port of the OMT is a square waveguide port with the same width of WR-2.8 port. Terahertz wave can be feed into the input port and two different polarized components output from two different output ports. Return loss of both polarized component in input port is less than -15 dB from 330 GHz to 350 GHz. The insertion loss between the input port and output ports corresponding to polarized mode is lower than 0.1 dB in whole working band. The proposed OMT shows an excellent performance which can satisfy the needs of antenna near-field measurement.
