Design of a simulation-oriented virtual reality toolkit

Abstract

In order to simplify the development of virtual reality applications, a platform for simulation was designed. The platform adopts an object-oriented method and designs the scene on the basis of hierarchical structure. The platform constructs a virtual scene with trees and renders with a simulation engine. The method implements the separation between the geometry model and the behavior model of virtual object, thus facilitating the platform for common applications. The scene structure of trees appears to be suitable to describe virtual world models.
