Abstract

A compact magneto-electronic circularly polarized antenna realized by printed circuit board is proposed. First, a pair of magnetic dipoles with 90° phase difference is formed by an infinite balanced structure; second, a pair of electronic dipoles are placed above the magnetic dipoles with probe feed. A Wilkinson divider is designed to provide two signals with equal amplitude and 90° phase difference for excitation. This antenna is totally realized by PCB planar structure which is convenient for massive manufacture, and the dimension is 0.5?× 0.5?× 0.13? Simulation results show that the impedance bandwidth and the axial bandwidth of this antenna is larger than 20%, while the axial ratio character keeps well at the low elevation angel.
