Abstract

First analysed the physical model of coupling momet, and based on this modle, mathematic model is established and an autopilot is design. Also, the influence of this moment on the control system performance is discussed. By simulation, we concluded that the effects of this coupling moment is not the same for missiles' different flying states (i.e. X type and + type). It is possible to eliminate the effect of coupling moment with higher system open loop gain, however, much actuator power must be cost. It suggests that, for air-to-air missiles flying with high body angle of attack, it is prefer to maneuver in X type flight state.
