Design and performance of a 2-D terahertz imaging system

Abstract

Terahertz imaging technology plays an important role in the applications of high-resolution imaging and detection of small targets. The imaging system design is optimized with step-frequency signal in 220GHz frequency band as well as the imaging algorithms are conducted. In order to get high resolution, the 220GHz system is designed and realized with stepped frequency. the technology of high-resolution turntable imaging is introduced. The experiment result shows the 2-D images obtained using Range-Doppler(R-D) algorithm.
