Abstract

In order to improve the power density of slotless permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) and reduce the process difficulty, a slotless PMSM with hexagon distributed flexible printed circuit board (FPC) winding is studied in this paper. The effects of different pole-slot matching and stator and rotor parameters on the electromagnetic performance are studied. Two multi-objective optimization algorithms, genetic algorithm (GA) and particle swarm optimization (PSO), are used to optimize the winding parameters of FPC. Under the premise that the electromagnetic torque meets requirements, the loss of the motor is effectively reduced and the efficiency of the motor is improved. A prototype with 6 poles and 18 slots is manufactured, and the electromagnetic performances are tested to verify the correctness of the theoretical analysis.
