Abstract

In this paper a smart home remote control system is designed, which uses the popular SNS open platform as the external network communication media. Software for remote controlling on Android mobile terminals and gateway application based on Java software platform are designed. And the network within home is built using ZigBee technology. This system allows the user to use the mobile phone software to control remote device and get environment information, such as temperature and humidity, via mobile Internet. This system avoids the use of dedicated server in the home side and has good performance in maintainability, safety and usability.
