Abstract

For the specific functional requirements, the design based on micro-quartz gyro was carried out to keep the sensor's detection side in isolation from the exciting vibrations in Measurement-While-Drilling (MWD). The supporting node position was calculated to achieve good resistance to the shock and vibration. A new mechanical structure prototyping based on Finite Element Method (FEM) was presented to achieve good zero output stability. The structure designation and performance optimisation of a solid-vibration-beam based gyro were also introduced, and the validity of the designed prototyping was proved through the simulation experiments.
