Abstract

Owing to low emissions and low consumption costs, natural gas has major potential as a substitute or complementary automotive fuel. The natural gas pipeline network as the cheapest and easiest transportation system is a highly integrated transmission and distribution grid that can transport natural gas to and from nearly any location. Due to the dynamic characteristics of the pipeline networks, it is very difficult to develop a management system. In this paper, a web-based management system is proposed. The whole system consists of data acquisition embedded module, Onsite management system and Web GIS (Web Geographic Information System) Server system, which can observe and manage the safety transmission of natural gas.
