Abstract

When form grinding special-shaped screw rotor, cubic parameter spline algorithm is used for the numerical calculation of screw rotor profile. And the screw rotor numerical calculation software is design and developed based on MATLAB programming and GUI graphical interface technology. Mutual conversion of the female and male rotor profile, profile calculation of forming grinding wheel, rotors meshing dynamic simulation and other visualization functions are integrated. In this paper, an special-shaped male rotor is taken as an example, profile of its conjugate rotor and the grinding wheel is reverse and drawn through the software, then compared with the profile of actual processing measured female rotor, the maximum normal error of the two is 0.0598mm, the result show that the software algorithm is correct and effective. The software has advantages of convenient and intuitive, and provides the major technical staff a convenient profile design tools of screw rotor.
