Abstract

The technique of enhancing isolation between horn antennas by using metamaterials is investigated in this work. For horn antennas arranged in E-plane and H-plane with an edge-to-edge spacing 1/10 wavelength, the isolation is enhanced by more than 20 dB across a 22.6% bandwidth. Meanwhile, the patterns of the horn antennas are only slightly affected after adding the metamaterials.
