Abstract

The theoretical research about the deflagration-to-detonation transition is lacking. In this paper, the theoretical study on the criterion is conducted: using the linear stability theory to analyze the deflagration mechanism of carbon monoxide, a criterion of the deflagration-to-detonation transition is proposed. The criterion can be used as a theoretical support for the prevention and control of gas explosion.
