Abstract

Core/shell structured composites of hollow spherical CoFe2O4and CNTs were in situ synthesized using a CVD method with ethanol as a carbon source. CoFe2O4hollow spheres were used as cores, catalysts and magnetic ingredients simultaneously. It was found that the shell of CNTs uniformly grew on the surface of CoFe2O4hollow sphere cores. The reflection loss reached −32.8 dB at 11.7 GHz for the core/shell composites with a thickness of 2 mm.
