Computation of the target location error on InSAR

Abstract

The problem of target-location-error in InSAR is studied. The distribution of the probability of error is educed approximately based on the math tool of vector analysis. Through analyzing the probability distribution of error, some succinct conclusions are given for InSAR. This is very useful for InSAR design, especially for the orbit design and irradiation direction design. And these conclusions are consistent with what other papers have reported. The numerical simulation results prove that the educed distribution of the probability of location error is correct.
