Abstract

To solve near field electromagnetic scattering characteristics by complex target, finite element method (FEM) was used to calculate scattering characteristics by complex target under Hertz dipole's radiation spherical wave. Because of the limited computation domain by FEM, scattering field anywhere in space was strictly deduced by the current and magnetic sources on the output interface which encloses the target. The strict scattering field was then used to compute the generalized radar cross section in target near field. Numerical experiments demonstrate the correctness of scattering formula and the validity of this method.
