Comparison of Carrier Synchronization Schemes in Millimeter Wave Communication

Abstract

With the increasing tension of spectrum resources, millimeter wave communication has become a research hotspot. Carrier synchronization is one of the key technologies of millimeter wave communication. This paper analyzes in detail the carrier synchronization method of digital, analog, and analog-digital hybrid schemes. The digital carrier synchronization scheme has low transmission efficiency, and the analog carrier synchronization scheme has a complicated hardware structure. The digital-Analog hybrid carrier synchronization scheme can achieve better synchronization performance under the condition of simpler hardware structure complexity.
