Abstract

The behaviors of the thermal decomposition of HMX, RDX and CL-20 were determined. The energies of the nitroamine monopropellants were calculated by theory and the combustion properties of nitroamine monopropellants were determined with the measurement system for the combustion process of propellant. The results indicate that the temperature of thermal decomposition of CL-20 is lower and its energy is higher. The burning rate of CL-20 is two times of the burning rate of HMX and the pressure exponent of burning rate of CL-20 is corresponded with that of HMX.
