    Abstract

To increase the accuracy of patent infringement retrieval, Chinese patent infringement retrieval model was proposed based on the structure information of patent's claims. In the model, Chinese patents were reclassified firstly by the forty "Chinese split words" which were extracted from patent database from view of retrieval. Different types of words were selected to construct vector space on the basis of patent classification, and then two-step retrieval algorithm was applied. After explaining the steps of the model, an empirical patent infringement illustration and contrast experiment on optical communication technology in China are conducted and the results show this approach is effective.
