Abstract

One of the key technologies of high precision star sensor is to improve the star location accuracy of star sensor, which plays an important role in astronomical navigation. Because the traditional star location algorithm is based on the standard Gaussian distribution model, the location accuracy is poor when the star energy is not gaussian distribution. According to the different imaging models of stars by star sensors, a subpixel localization algorithm based on iterative Lagrange interpolation is proposed to improve the centroid extraction accuracy of non-Gaussian stars. Experimental results show that the accuracy of the proposed method is up to 0.01pixel, and the average error of the proposed method is 49.38% higher than that of the traditional method.
