Abstract

The computation of the multi-component flow has been attracted a lot of interests owing to several parts of difficulties. The simulation of the interface with the high gradient of physical parameters, the nonconservative model systems and the complexity of the characteristic decompositions are the main problems for the computation of the compressible multifluid flow. We established a central-upwind method with interface sharpening technique based on a unified consistent algorithm proposed recently for the γ -based compressible multifluid flow model to conquer those problems. We derived the consistent boundary velocity based on the scheme we used and we give the justification of the derived scheme. Several numerical results are shown and discussed to demonstrate the ability and the robustness of the proposed method. This work may provide a basic for the computation of the general compressible multicomponent flow problems.
