Abstract

A self-propelled artillery is equipped with the positive independent mechanical split path transmission, which is controlled manually. In practical use, drivers usually take mistake operation at shifting which causes the excessive wear of the main clutch. As a result, the service period of the vehicle is shortened severely. To avoid what we mentioned early, we attached an automatic shift system which is developed for the vehicle upgrade to the transmission to substitute the original mechanical shift system. Then, the following vehicle driving tests prove that the automatic shift system can resolve the excessive wear of the main clutch; at the same time, the function of the automatic shift of the vehicle can be realized.
