Abstract

The cloud base-station realizes base station baseband unit (BBU) centralized on a universal cloud computing platform and connected the remote radio units (RRUs) with fiber. Automated healing of the cloud base-station applies to detect and compensate the outage RRU automatically by the adjacent RRUs cooperation. It aims at providing temporary alleviation of coverage, capacity and service quality caused by the outage. This paper proposes an automated healing with the RRUs cooperation compensation (AHCC) approach which adjusts antenna downtilt angles of the adjacent RRUs to expand the coverage after the outage detection. The approach is an objective increment method and online iterative process. Numerical results show that it can achieve remarkable performance recovery as well as fast convergence.
