Abstract

An indoor interaction system based on Augmented Reality is presented in this paper. In this system, the user observes the scene by a HMD. Not only the real world but also the virtual objects are shown in the scene. There are two cameras mounted on the HMD, called tracking camera and scene camera. And many infrared markers are mounted on the ceiling of the room. The images of the marks are captured by the system and used to compute the pose of the head. In addition two ARtoolKit Markers are mounted on the user's glove to implement the interaction between the user and the environments. At last, a seabed tourism system is developed to test the usability of the presented system.
