Abstract

Aiming at the significant characteristics of complex products' Research and Development (R&D) in the aerospace conglomerate such as close collaborations across disciplines, geographic boundaries and stages of full product lifecycle, the application modes of Manufacturing Resources and Capabilities (MR/Cs) and the architecture of cloud manufacturing systems oriented to aerospace conglomerate were proposed systematically to satisfy the above application demand and facilitate the optimal configuration and sharing of MR/Cs. A multi-view description method and an optimal-composition model of MR/Cs in cloud manufacturing systems were presented. The implementation plan, application process and effects of an application for collaborative R&D of an aerospace complex product were introduced. The results showed that the proposed application technology of cloud manufacturing for aerospace complex products could effectively support new development of industrial informatics in the aerospace conglomerate.
