Abstract

Laser protection characteristics of porphyrin materials are studied. Based on the molecular structure and the photon absorption cross section, the two-photon and three-photon absorption features of porphyrin-anthracene compound are analyzed. The results show that porphyrin-anthracene compounds have good non-linear optical absorption effects, having an optical absorption spectrum covering wide range of wavelength. This non-linear optical absorption effect can be applied against attacks from laser weapons with various wavelengths.
