Abstract

Peralkyiated β‐cyclodextrins were used as stationary phases to separate positional isomers of industrial chemicals. Their selectivity was measured using isomers of dimethylphenols. Among the peralkylated β‐cyclodextrins, permethylated β‐cyclodextrins possess the highest selectivity. Finally, they were used to separate some positional isomers such as disubstituted benzene and so on. The results show that peralkylated β‐CDs were excellent GC stationary phases in industrial analysis.
