Abstract
To improve the performance of the micro-quartz tuning gyroscope, a least mean square (LMS) algorithm for demodulating the micro-quartz tuning gyroscope output signal is proposed. The simulation in the Systemview showed that the LMS algorithm can demodulate the amplitude modulation angular signals, filter the noises. The method is implemented and tested in the digital signal prossesor (DSP), the experimental results show that the LMS algorithm has better stability of zero-position than the traditional coherent demodulation algorithm, the stability is improved by 50.16%, and the resolution is increased as well. The LMS algorithm is applied to demodulate the angular signal, and gets a better result than that of the multiplicative demodulation.
