Abstract

In this paper, we deduce the math expression of stepped frequency radar echo signal, and transform the formulations into matrix form according to the standard method of ESPRIT. We apply ESPRIT to estimate the target positions in different SNR comparing with conventional IFFT algorithm and analyze the effect factors of the evaluation performance. We do the simulation of moving targets to see the effect of velocity on the estimation. Finally, we conclude the advantages and disadvantages of this method.
