Abstract

Based on the existing research results about Ambient Intelligence (AmI), this paper proposes a logical system architecture for AmI, and then analyzes the function framework for context-aware middleware. We use ontology to model context-aware information in pervasive computing environment in order not only to share and structurally represent context information but also to reason higher level contexts or situations from lower level context for applying in AmI systems. We give an example to illustrate the feasibility and validity of the application system architecture.
