Abstract

The angular measurement of interferometer in passive-radar-seeker under the presence of non-coherent dual sources was investigated. It was indicated that, under certain condition, the phase-comparison mean value of measured angle would point the 'stronger' source. This paper proposes a method for the angular measurement based on two sample points. The angles of the dual sources could be obtained from signals of two sample points through two channels of interferometer. Simulation was implemented to verify the validity of this method. Results demonstrate that non-coherent dual sources could be resolved and, compared with conventional phase-comparison method, higher precision of angular measurement be achieved under certain phase conditions.
