Abstract

The angular glint is the inherent error source caused by the interaction between the scattering center in the radar extended target, and it is an important factor affecting the radar close tracking accuracy. The analysis of angular glint characteristics is important for the wideband and narrowband radar angle tracking accuracy analysis. In this paper, the angular glint characteristics under the wideband and narrowband radar are analyzed from the echo signal. The angular glint model in the simulated echo and measured data is used to verify the conclusion that high range resolution can effectively suppress the target angle glint.
