Analytic model building of the characteristics of long pipes in pneumatic system

Abstract

To solve the problems of the control delay and poor stability occur in pneumatic system, which are caused by long pipes, this paper brings in the idea of segmentation and limit, and builds the partial differential equations of pressure and flow on the base of classical scientific theory. And then the data of pneumatic signal in long pipes are worked out by MATLAB for the analysis of its static and dynamic characteristics. Related experiments were conducted and the results were analyzed and compared. In light of the bad influence caused by its dynamic characteristic, a three-order model with delay of long pipes is built by system identification, which will help to apply the model of long pipes to the design of the controller and compensation.
