Abstract

The use of FDTD method is a popular technique employed in periodic structure simulations. This paper examines the implementation of split-filed FDTD and Spectral FDTD methods. While following distinctive schemes, both methods exhibit good accuracy in the results. Then based on the resource consumption and speed behaviour during the simulation, it is concluded that these two methods are suitable for different occasions depending on the problem type and computing platform.
