Abstract

According to the special requirement of anti-runway ammunition and energy conservation principle, a shaped charge with arc liner was designed, which can perforate a runway target and make a hole with large diameter on it. The influence of the liner structure parameters on the feature of projectile formed by arc liner was analyzed by numerical simulation. The penetration performances of different projectiles to runway target were calculated. The effect of liner wall thickness on the damage performance was discussed. The simulation results were validated by experiment. The numerical simulation and experimental results show that the shaped charge with arc liner can satisfy the application requirements of anti-runway tandem warhead.
