    Abstract

This paper will propose a genetic algorithm (GA) approach as an analytical tool with a carefully defined fitness function as a variable selection algorithm. Discriminant analysis will be used as a parameter evaluation method for the analysis of relationship between technology development and employment in China. Results indicate that capital related investment has more influence on employment than human recourse investment.
