N2 - Cross correlation interference is self-interference of GNSS signal due to no-ideal cross correlation properties of Pseudo Random Number (PRN) codes from different satellite. In most application, it is less important than the multipath and thermal noise. However, cross correlation effect should be taken into consideration for high sensitivity and special customized GNSS receiver based on precise code tracking. This paper analyzes the code tracking errors caused by cross correlation and derives the relationship between tracking errors and carrier-to-noise ratio(C/N0). Then several kinds of advanced correlator, such as Narrow Correlator, Early Late Slope (ELS) Correlator and Double-Delta Correlator, are proposed to be used on mitigation of cross correlation based on its similarity to multipath. Both simulation and test results demonstrate the effectiveness of this method.
