Abstract

The structure of a microwave radiator used for medical purpose was described. The dyadic Green's functions and the moment method were used to analyze this kind of multimode rectangular medium-filled cavity. The distribution of electromagnetic field intensity and power density and the temperature effect in the biological sample load were obtained. The cavity size and the position of input aperture were optimized with computer in terms of the uniformity of microwave effect and the improvement of input voltage standing-wave ratio.
