Abstract

A Mach-Zehnder (MZ) interferometer sensor system based on a 3 × 3 coupler demodulation method was presented. The 3 × 3 coupler demodulation method was deduced. The polarization fading was studied in theory and in experiment. And its influence on the 3 × 3 coupler demodulation method is analyzed. Through theoretical analysis, the method to restrain polarization fading is put forward.
