Abstract

According to characters of mobility models, this article gives a classification of mobility models, such as random mobility model, mobility model with temporal dependency, mobility model with spatial dependency and mobility model with geographic restriction. There are three situations used to compare applicability of these mobility models including battlefield, event hall and art gallery. A simulation tool called ANSIM is applied to test several mobility models. Average number of neighbors, average number of hops and probability of connection are compared under RW/RD/GM mobility models. At last there is a simulation scenario of obstacle mobility model in the campus.
