Abstract

Water lubricated hydro-hybrid bearings are widely used in the secondary system of the nuclear power plant. The paper takes the radial clearance as the research focus of influencing factors. The influences of the clearance on static and dynamic parameters are explored. Results indicate that the radial clearance has remarkable influences on all the static characteristics, while has significant influences on the main stiffness coefficients but little influences on the cross-stiffness coefficients. It has little influences on the main damping coefficients, while has significant influences on the cross-damping coefficients. The rationality and correctness of the lubrication models are verified. Investigation has guiding significance on the optimum design for such bearings.
