Abstract

This paper presents on an improvement zigzag parallel-coupled band-pass filter of S-band. Since common parallel-coupled filter takes up more place, so zigzag filters are better choices for filter design. Then the mitered bends become the critical parts of a zigzag filters. The paper shows how the bends work at first and then three kinds of parallel-coupled filters are demonstrated respectively according to basic principles. By employing the Advanced Design System (ADS), the new style of filter of 60 degree mitered bend is designed. The results show that it is relative small than common parallel-coupled ones or 90 degree zigzag ones and can work well.
