Abstract

An improved target extraction algorithm is presented for the target extraction problem of stepped frequency chirp signal one-dimension imaging. Based on the idea that that the most prominent scatter of the target may lie in any position of the extraction range of its low resolution range cell, several candidate high resolution range profile (HRRP) can be extracted. Extract the scatters of the target in each HRRP and accumulate the energy of all the scatters. Choose the HRRP in which the scatters of the target have the most energy as the HRRP of the target. The validity of this method is proved by processing field measured data of real target.
