Abstract

By analyzing the principle of quasi-optimal satellite selection algorithm and comparing its satellite selection result with optimal satellite selection algorithm, this paper presents a method to improve the quasi-optimal satellite selection algorithm. This method makes use of reselection of deleted satellites to improve satellite selection effect. At the same time it retains the advantages of quasi-optimal algorithm including fast computing speed and ability to be used in single and multi-constellation navigation system. The simulation results show that: the improved algorithm can get a satellite selection result close to optimal satellite selection algorithm with slightly increasing the calculation on GDOP value.
