Abstract

In order to improve the real-time signal processing capability of spaceborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging, an improved real-time imaging algorithm is proposed in this paper. Different imaging algorithms are com-pared and conclude that the Chirp Scaling (CS) algorithm is the most suitable for spaceborne SAR imaging. The effect on imaging results introduced by the compensation factors is analyzed and a novel CS imaging algorithm is then put forward. The proposed algorithm can greatly reduce the computational complexity of the imaging process. The experimental results demonstrates that the algorithm is valid.
