abstract = "To achieve multi-sensor image registration, an image registration algorithm based on Fourier- Mellin transform and feature point matching is proposed in this paper. The initial registration parameters are calculated using Fourier-Mellin transform. Then the feature points extracted from the images are mapped according to the initial parameters. A point matching and optimizing process is accomplished which gives some one-to-one matched point pairs. The registration parameters are finally calculated using the least square method. The experiment with the visible and near-infrared images shows that the presented algorithm can realize multi-sensor image registration through one circulation, it effectively avoids the feedback process. This algorithm is brief and the computing time and the registration result can meet the application requirements.",
