Abstract

The impacts of submunitions on concrete were tested at the angles of drop, the velocities of drop and the angles of attack. The drop law of maximum overload and continual action time were obtained by the storage testing at 60°~90° angles of drop and less than 5° angles of attack. An analytical model was set up based on the experimental results. The analytical model and the experimental results are useful to design and evaluate the safety of dropping submunitions.
